Children at the Sandhills Pre-school Playgroup in Headington, Oxford, are saddling up for the new year on a rocking horse donated as a festive gift by builders, Bryant Homes.

Organisers expect youngsters to be queueing up for rides on the new toy.

Playgroup co-ordinator at Sandhills, Gail Simmons, said: "It's wonderful to receive such a unique present for the playgroup." She added: "We have no doubt that the beautiful rocking horse will keep smiles on our children's faces for many years to come."
