CHINNOR face the first serious test of their promotion hopes tomorrow when they host Clifton in South West 1 (3pm).
Both teams have won four out of four so far this season, with Clifton topping the table on points difference.
Add to the mix that the Bristol side dumped Chinnor out of the Powergen National Trophy with a injury-time try and you have a recipe for a Kingsey Road.
Chinnor coach John Brodley said: "The game will give a clear indication of how much the 1st XV has developed since last season.
"It is a contest between first and second in the table, with both clubs having the ambition of playing in the National League.
"Whatever the result, both coaches know the effects of our long season and the predicted harsh winter will test their squads.
"Although the result of this game is important, it is not crucial."
The Clifton clash will see lock Craig Burrows, who replaces Andy Milburn, finally get to captain Chinnor in a competitive game.
Lloyd Hoogstander wins a spot on the right wing after his hat-trick in last week's friendly win at Bracknell.
Andy Noyce's knee injury sees him rested for Oxford Harlequins' home game with bottom club Spartans (SW).
Flanker Jamie Cope takes over the captaincy in his absence, while Charlie Mawle is back in contention for a centre spot.
In the pack, Charlie Mason will make a strong claim for a place at lock as will Phil Vinter for a back row spot.
