Chinnor 81, Spartans (SW) 0 :This victory really was as emphatic as the scoreline suggests.
Chinnor dominated the South West 1 clash against a Spartans side, who took 44 minutes to mount an attack.
The hosts ran in 13 tries, playing a genuinely expansive game that their hapless opponents couldn't handle.
Hooker JP Immelman was unlucky not to get a hat-trick and scooped my man-of-the-match award, but from one to 15 this was an awesome performance.
Having slumped to a shock 9-6 defeat at Reading Abbey last time out, it was vital that Chinnor started well.
They needn't have worried, however, as Spartans gifted them the advantage after just two minutes.
Full back Shane Crowley was sin-binned for a cynical trip on Chinnor winger Eric Brown and a minute later Immelman struck with a pushover try.
Brown and Matt Buckley were running amok early on and combined to set up centre Rewi Tolich for try No 2 on ten minutes.
Richard Williams added the conversion, but before Spartans settled, Immelman had dived over for his second.
Flanker Rydon Webb did well to stop Brown on 17 minutes before Chinnor skipper Craig Burrows crashed through from close range.
On 24 minutes, fellow lock Andy Milburn notched try No 5 after more fireworks from Brown and Buckley.
Right wing Ali Reekie scampered round behind the posts and Williams converted for 34-0 on 34 minutes.
Fly half Williams kept his passing short and accurate and gave centre Darren Oxley a simple finish on 38 minutes.
All this came against the wind and Spartans were clearly riled, but they failed to score when camped on Chinnor's line and were soon being embarrassed.
Scrum half David Burns got the ball rolling with a 52nd minute try, which Williams improved as part of 100 per cent second-half conversion rate.
Oxley showed great hands to pick up a wild pass and cruise home on the hour mark, while replacement flanker Raakai Maxwell showed his strength to score his side's tenth.
Full back Buckley danced through on 70 minutes and then set up Tolich's second.
The final flourish saw replacement Sam Soane round off a fine team move with a touch of Polynesian swagger.
