A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a man was crushed by granite at a farm near Wheatley yesterday.
Peter Taylor, 60, of Horspath, near Oxford, was killed when slabs of granite fell from a lorry which was being unloaded at Waterstock Farm in Waterstock at 1.10pm.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 37-year-old was arrested in connection with the incident and is being questioned by police on suspicion of manslaughter.
Health and Safety Executive and police scenes of crime officers were at the farm last night launching an investigation into the death.
