CHINNOR have signed Tonga international flanker Rodney Mahe to boost their South West 1 promotion bid.
Mahe, a try scorer in Tonga's 34-14 victory over Oxford University at Iffley Road in November, is set for his debut in Saturday's home game with Chippenham.
He also played against France later that month and received a seven-day IRB suspension after punching fly half Yann Delaigue.
Chinnor coach John Brodley: "Rodney was a triallist at Pertemps Bees in National 1.
"He played one game and was on the bench a couple of times, but didn't quite make it into their set up.
"He is a genuine No 7, which was exactly what we were looking for.
"Because we lost Mike Cook to injury we needed to strengthen up.
"We had been playing Rewi Tolich in there at times, but he is not really a No 7."
