CHINNOR coach John Brodley says his team must use their Oxfordshire Cup exit to focus their minds for the rest of the season.
Brodley admitted their cup loss at Oxford Harlequins was disappointing, but he hopes it may prove constructive in the long run.
He said: "In some ways it's just a big wake-up call for us.
"We now know that we've got eight league games left and no distractions whatsoever.
"And we know that when we come back to Harlequins in the league, we'll have a very tough game.
"We let them get them get their tails up on Sunday and struggled to get back in.
"You need to be mentally strong to play back-to-back games like Clifton and Quins."
Chinnor have played two more games than South West 1 leaders Weston-super-Mare, who are also on 24 points.
